Who we are
This website is operated by Nobox Sdn Bhd (Company No. 201801005370 / 1267384-V), a video production company registered in Malaysia, with its registered address at 63-1, Jalan Persiaran 155A, Bukit OUG Townhouse, 58200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Nobox Sdn Bhd. "You" refers to anyone visiting nobox-films.com or submitting an enquiry to us through it.
What personal data we collect
We collect personal data in two ways.
1. Data you give us directly. When you complete the enquiry form on our contact section, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name, if you provide it
- Your contact number, if you provide it
- The type of project, estimated budget range and timeline you select
- The content of your message
Name and email address are required in order to respond to you. The remaining fields are optional. If you contact us instead by email, phone or WhatsApp, we will hold whatever information you choose to share in that conversation.
2. Data collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our service providers may collect:
- Your IP address and approximate location (typically city or region level)
- Browser type, device type, operating system and screen size
- Pages viewed, time spent, and the link or advertisement that brought you here
- Whether you clicked our WhatsApp, email or phone links, and whether you submitted the enquiry form
Why we use it
We use personal data only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry and to discuss, quote for and deliver video production services.
- To maintain our business records, including project files, quotations and invoices.
- To understand how the website performs — which pages are read, where visitors come from, and which enquiries result from which campaigns.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including Google Ads campaigns, so we can see which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag. These set cookies and similar identifiers on your device in order to measure site traffic and to attribute enquiries to the advertising campaign that produced them. This may include remarketing, meaning you may later see our advertisements on other websites within Google's network.
The information generated by these tools about your use of the site is transmitted to and stored by Google. You can read how Google handles data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser opt-out add-on. You can also control or delete cookies through your own browser settings; the site will continue to work normally if you do.
This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.
Who else processes your data
We rely on a small number of service providers to run this website. They process data on our instructions only:
- Formspree — receives your enquiry form submission and forwards it to our email inbox.
- Netlify — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Google — provides analytics, advertising measurement and web fonts, as described above.
- Our email provider — stores the enquiry once it reaches our inbox.
Some of these providers are located outside Malaysia, which means your personal data may be transferred to and stored on servers in other countries. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider offers an adequate level of protection.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to do so by law, by a court, or by a regulatory authority.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for as long as needed to deliver the project and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations in Malaysia. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are reviewed periodically and deleted once they are no longer of any business use.
Keeping it secure
We take reasonable practical steps to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure. This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people in our team who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights under the PDPA
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data.
- Limit processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Ask us to delete personal data we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at joseph@nobox-films.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on the request. Please note that withdrawing consent may mean we are no longer able to respond to your enquiry or continue providing services to you.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The current version will always be published on this page with the "last updated" date shown above.
